Administration of Estates
Managing the settlement of the estates of intestate persons. Matters related to the administration of estates are regulated under the Administration of Estates Law (Cap.189), the Probates (Re-Sealing) Law (Cap.192) and the Wills and Successions Law (Cap.195).
Anticorruption and Transparency Law
Never before knowledge of this area of law has been so important. A set of complex laws and rules are in place in the Republic of Cyprus, including the Penal Code (Cap.154), the Prevention of Corruption Law, the Public Service Law, Law 23(III)/2000, ratifying the Criminal Law Convention on Corruption and Law 22(III)/2006, ratifying the Additional Protocol to the Convention.
Banking Law
The Banking sector has undergone sweeping if not violent changes in recent years. The Business of Credit Institutions Law is the basic banking legislation notwithstanding the fact that the said law must be read with the Macro-prudential Supervision of Institutions Law, the Resolution of Credit and Other Institutions Law, the Central Bank of Cyprus Law, the Prevention and Suppression of Money Laundering Activities Law et. al.
Competition Law
The Protection of Competition Law which also regulates anti-trust matters is the key legislation whereas merges and acquisitions are regulated by the Control of Concentrations between Undertakings Law, in line with Council Regulation EC139/2004.
Constitutional and Administrative Law
As in many other areas of law Constitutional law in the Republic of Cyprus has its roots in the English legal system. Effectively, the principles of common law and equity apply notwithstanding the influence of non-common law jurisdictions as regards administrative law. The predominant text is the Constitution of the Republic of Cyprus as well as laws retained by virtue of Article 188 of the Constitution. By virtue of the Law relating to the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution, Law 127 (I)/2006 a new Article 1(A) was added to the Constitution which provides for the supremacy of European Union Law over the Constitution and National laws.

Corporate Law
An economy which depends heavily on the service sector needs applicable and enforceable corporate laws. The Companies’ Law (Cap. 113), being the core statute for corporate law comprises of elaborate provisions governing private companies from incorporation to dissolution.
Employment Law
Following accession to the European Union, Cyprus employment law has evolved to comply with the Community acquis. The right to work is safeguarded under Article 25 of the Constitution of the Republic of Cyprus while the vast majority of labour-related matters is governed by the Termination of Employment Law and the Annual Paid Leave Law. Other important laws include the Social Insurance Law, the Safety and Health at Work Law, the Minimum Salaries Law, the Protection of Maternity Law, the Equal Treatment at work and Employment Law and the Law Providing for the Preservation and Safeguard of the Rights of Employees on the Transfer of Businesses, Facilities or Section of Businesses.
Energy and Natural Resources Law
Energy and natural resources are probably the most challenging areas of law currently in the Republic of Cyprus due to the ongoing exploitation of hydrocarbon resources. Possessing the knowledge in this highly specialised area of law is one of our strengths. This rapidly evolving market in the Republic of Cyprus and the wider region necessitates detailed knowledge of national law, primarily the Energy and Natural Resources Law. Challenges facing the Republic of Cyprus make it a sine qua non to be informed of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) of which our knowledge is probably second to none.
